One tap, any modern phone — but the exact spot varies by brand. Find your phone below for the quickest path to "wow."

The basics

Wake & unlock
The other person's phone needs to be on (screen lit). It doesn't need to be unlocked on iPhone, but most Androids require the screen to be active.

Tap the back of the phone
Hold the card flat against the back of the phone for 2-3 seconds. The exact spot depends on the brand — see below.

Open the notification
A small banner appears at the top or bottom of the screen — tap it to open your live profile in their browser.
By phone
Find your NFC sweet spot
Every phone has an NFC antenna in a slightly different place. Tap that spot for the fastest, most reliable read.

Galaxy S, Note, Z, A series
NFC antenna is around the center of the back.
- Make sure NFC is on: Settings → Connections → NFC and contactless payments
- Unlock the phone before tapping for best results
- Older Samsungs may need a slightly upper position

NFC is typically near the upper portion of the back, just below the camera.
- Enable NFC: Settings → Connection & sharing → NFC (path varies by MIUI/HyperOS version)
- Many budget Redmi models do NOT include NFC — verify your model
- If unsure, search your exact model + "NFC" online

NFC antenna is at the top of the back, often labelled with a small "N" logo.
- Enable NFC: Settings → Connectivity & sharing → NFC
- The exact tap location is sometimes marked with a printed "N" — look for it
Android only
Make sure NFC is enabled
iPhone has NFC always on. On Android, it's a setting — and on a few models it's off by default.
Fastest path on any Android: swipe down from the top to open Quick Settings → look for the NFC tile → tap to enable. If the tile isn't there:
- Open Settings
- Use the search bar at the top and type "NFC"
- Tap the result and toggle NFC On
Some budget Android models — especially older Redmi, Realme, and entry-tier OnePlus Nord — don't include NFC hardware at all. If you can't find an NFC setting, search your exact model + "NFC" to confirm.

Quick troubleshooting
The phone shows no notification when I tap
Try these in order: (1) make sure the screen is on and unlocked, (2) on Android, check NFC is enabled in settings, (3) reposition the card — most phones have NFC in the upper third of the back, (4) remove thick cases (especially metallic or magnetic ones), (5) hold the card still for 2-3 seconds instead of a quick tap.
It works on iPhone but not on Android
Almost always an NFC-disabled issue. Open Settings → search "NFC" → toggle on. If there's no NFC setting at all, that Android model doesn't have NFC hardware (common on budget devices).
The card works on some phones but not on mine
NFC sensitivity varies between phone models. Try tapping different parts of the back to find the sweet spot. A thick case (especially with a metal kickstand or magnet) can also block NFC — try removing the case briefly to confirm.
I get a notification but no profile loads
Tap the notification banner — it opens your profile URL in the default browser. If nothing happens, check the phone has an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
